BIG Brother has avoided addressing the newest incident involving the Week 5 Head of Household, Jared Fields, and a houseguest's family is not letting it slide.
While the CBS series continues to disregard Jared's use of a slur during Labor Day weekend, Jag Bains' family issued a strong statement through social media.
Jared was not thrilled with America Lopez, believing she was deliberately losing competitions, and viewers with access to live feeds over the weekend witnessed a heated debate between Cory Wurtenberger and Jared about America, where Jared called her the "r-word" slur.
The scene was not shown on the most recent Big Brother program, but a video of Jared apologizing for the slur has been circulating since the Week 5 veto battle.
The family of Season 25 Houseguest Jag Bains responded to CBS and Big Brother's lack of action, writing on Instagram, in part: "Such language is entirely unacceptable, particularly on a prominent platform like Big Brother."
The statement issued by Jag's family was supported by the Special Olympics official account, which posted its own statement in response to the post, writing: "Special Olympics stands behind Jag Bains and his family in their condemnation of the use of the r-word by a contestant on CBS’s Big Brother."
Meanwhile, Red Utley was evicted from the Big Brother Sunday house by a vote of 8-2 and Cameron was crowned the next Head of Household.
Tune in to Big Brother Sunday at 8pm ET CBS to find out who gets nominated for eviction.
