Carly Rae Jepsen is a Canadian singer, songwriter and actor. Born and raised in Mission, British Columbia, Jepsen played several leading roles in her high school musical productions and studied musical theater at the Canadian College of Performing Arts in Victoria, British Columbia. . After completing her studies, she moved to Vancouver and then competed in the Canadian Idol's fifth season in 2007, finishing third.
